By combining two 1kW LDMOS amplifier blocks with a high-precision Wilkinson splitter and combiner, this system ensures that even during routine maintenance on one module, your station stays on air at half-power. Designed to exceed FCC and EU ETSI technical specifications, it is the professional choice for high-fidelity regional coverage.
Optimal Performance & Compliance: Why Choose This Version?
If you're seeking a transmitter that balances powerful broadcasting with strict legal compliance, this version is your definitive choice. It eliminates complexity for both new and experienced broadcasters.
• Beginner-Ready: The unit features automatic audio level adjustment, ensuring your 2000 watt transmitter always adheres to state regulator specifications. Start broadcasting legally and effortlessly.
• Professional-Grade: Ideal for experienced users who prioritize efficiency. It includes everything in one single enclosure, minimizing setup time and cable clutter.
Intelligent Audio Processing for Maximum Reach
Our internal audio processors are engineered to give you a competitive edge:
• The processing keeps the audio level LOUD—allowing your station to compete effectively with others on the dial.
• Crucially, it prevents over deviation, ensuring your powerful signal remains legal and compliant with all permit requirements.
• This version perfectly executes the delicate balance of maximum loudness while maintaining a legal signal.
The audio inputs industry standard 600 ohm +4 dBu balanced using XLR connectors.
In addition, this version INCLUDES RDS. This allows everybody to see your station name and more scrolling across the car radio display.
The RDS is not just ordinary RDS, it is fully programmable dynamic RDS. This means the transmitter can be connected to a PC by a USB cable. The RDS can be changed on the fly in real time by using USB PC CONTROL shown below.
Professional-Grade Raw MPX Input
This version is specifically available for experienced users who require a straight, raw MPX input for external signal processing.
1. Zero Tilt for Multiband Processors
• The absolute requirement for professional processing is a flat low-frequency response. As proven by our 160Hz Square Wave Test, our input delivers a perfectly square wave with zero tilting. This allows your external processor to maintain absolute control over the modulation, ensuring maximum loudness and a legal signal without low-end artifacts.
2. Ultra-Stable Hartley VCO & Slow-PLL Architecture
Superior performance starts with a stable foundation. Our Hartley-based, lightly coupled push-pull VCO is so stable it stays within 10kHz of its frequency even with the PLL turned off. This inherent stability leads to two critical performance benefits:
• Ultra-Low Noise: Because the VCO is naturally stable, the PLL only needs to make microscopic corrections (less than 300Hz), resulting in an exceptionally clean and transparent noise floor.
• Preserved Low-End: By heavily low-pass filtering the PLL control voltage to just a few Hz, we ensure 30Hz bass notes pass through the varicap completely unaltered. This preserves the essential low-frequency response demanded by high-performance audio processors.
Result: This preserves the essential low-end audio response demanded by high-performance audio processors.
Selecting the Optimal Version for Your Broadcast Requirements.
Choosing the correct version of your FM Transmitter is crucial for operational efficiency and meeting your specific broadcast goals. We offer professionally engineered systems that cover 90% of customer requirements right out of the box, ensuring you get the exact functionality needed for your station.
These are the two primary, professional versions of our FM Transmitters:
| Transmitter Version | Ideal Application |
|---|---|
| ◼ Stereo with RDS and Audio Processing Version | Any station prioritizing high audio quality, professional stereo separation, and dynamic Radio Data System (RDS) functionality for displaying station name, song titles, or slogans. This is the most feature-rich option for modern, professional broadcasting. |
| ◼ MPX Version | Experienced engineers who handle external audio processing and stereo encoding outside the transmitter. This version accepts a pre-processed and encoded composite signal (MPX) for direct modulation, offering maximum control to the audio chain expert. |

From anywhere in the world, you can securely monitor, troubleshoot, and control your AAREFF / Veronica FM transmitter, ensuring maximum uptime and peace of mind.
Every AAREFF / Veronica transmitter is supervised by an embedded microprocessor that continuously records system activity. The internal log provides engineers with precise, time-stamped updates of operating conditions and broadcast data.
This level of transparency ensures engineers can track performance, confirm settings, and diagnose issues quickly whether on site or connected remotely.
The AAREFF remote interface allows engineers to configure transmitter and RDS settings directly from any browser, providing complete flexibility and instant control.
With this secure, web-based control panel, you can manage your transmitter and RDS data from anywhere in the world.
The transmitter will work with any 50 ohm antenna rated at 2000W or higher. The following antennas when used with this 2kW transmitter will radiate (EIRP) the approximate power shown.
• Vertical 5/8 Wave 5kW EIRP
• Circular Dipole up to 10kW EIRP
• Folded Dipole up to 25kW EIRP
Our 25kW EIRP system includes this transmitter packaged in with coaxial cable and a suitable antenna system. These full systems are engineered to comply with the EU standards and regulations for licensed broadcasting and most other countries regulations in the world.
The 2kW transmitter package uses two large amplifiers enclosures which spread the waste heat over a larger area. Spreading the heat this way improves long term reliability over compact type models simply because there are no concentrated hot spots which always lead to faster failure. This generally doubles the lifetime reliability over the equivalent compact type model. In addition to this there is active temperature monitoring which in worse case scenario will reduce the power automatically to protect the unit if the ambient temperature is extreme at over +40C.
The final output stage of the 2kW transmitter utilizes twin BLP188XNRFE LDMOS amplifiers, specifically chosen for their extreme ruggedness. These XR (Extremely Rugged) devices are designed to withstand severe load mismatches at VSWRs greater than 65:1 at 5 dB of compression. For ultimate reliability, the system is engineered to remain stable and protected even under the most challenging antenna environments.
The complete assembly is made up of two 3U enclosures and one 2U enclosure in strong 16-gauge steel, powder coated and baked in satin black. This is military grade strength, not flimsy thin paneling that eastern countries make. The whole thing tough with a durable surface that will never rust and will shine for years. The front panels are 19 inches so they will fit with ease into a standard rack.
We ensure your FM Transmitter is ready for immediate use upon arrival.
To facilitate a true plug-and-play experience, we factory-test and pre-set the unit to your desired FM broadcast frequency. This means you can connect the transmitter and begin broadcasting straight out of the box after delivery.
If your intended operating frequency changes, or if you don't specify it during the order, adjustments are quick and straightforward. The following parameters are easily user-adjustable in minutes via the underside panel controls:
• Operating Frequency (FM Channel)
• FM Deviation (Modulation depth)
• Output Power Level (Fine-tuning the 1W output)
This design guarantees maximum flexibility and simple on-site configuration for any broadcasting requirement.More information on this in the User Manual, you can find a link to this below.
