All our FM antennas are designed for 50 ohms, ensuring compatibility with all professional FM transmitters on the market.

What is the gain of the antennas?

  • 5/8 wave vertical: 4.7 or 4.8 dBi
  • Multi-panel arrays: 4.8 – 11 dBi

What VSWR can I expect?

All our antennas are tuned to a VSWR of less than or equal to 1.5 across all operating frequencies, guaranteeing minimal loss and maximum power transfe

Can I tune the antenna to a specific frequency?

Yes, depending on the model:

  • Broadband tunable antennas can be adjusted to any frequency within 87.5 – 108 MHz for best performance.
  • Fixed broadband antennas require no calibration, as they operate across the full FM band with no additional adjustments.

What is the typical bandwidth of your antennas?

It depends on the type of antenna. We have broadband antennas that work across the entire FM band (87.5 – 108 MHz) with no adjustment required, as well as tunable models that allow performance optimization at a specific frequency within the band.

What maximum power can they handle?

Our antennas handle from 50W up to 3kW, depending on the model.

  • Mag-mount up to 300 W
  • Single dipoles 50–200 W
  • Stacked dipoles: 400 W (2), 800 W (4), 1.6 kW (8)
  • 5/8-wave up to 1–2 kW

For higher powers, multi-panel arrays with Aareff Wilkinson combiners are used.

Can multiple antennas be installed together?

Yes. We manufacture multi-panel kits with combiners and splitters that allow 2, 4, or 8 antennas to be installed, providing higher gain, broader coverage, and improved radiation pattern control.

What materials do you use to withstand outdoor conditions?

We use aluminum, stainless steel, and UHMW PE. All components are designed to withstand rain, strong sun, salt, and extreme environments without losing efficiency.

What happens if the antenna gets wet or covered in salt?

Nothing. The antennas are designed to operate outdoors 24/7 for years, even in coastal areas. No additional sealing is required.

Can they be used with transmitters other than Aareff?

Yes, any professional 50-ohm transmitter will work perfectly. However, we recommend our transmitters because they have been designed and tested together with our antennas for maximum efficiency.

Do you provide support for installation and setup?

Yes. We supply a detailed assembly guide.

Do you ship antennas internationally?

Our FM transmitters are guaranteed for 5 years, however the lifetime of of the product is considerably longer than this. It is normal to expect 10 years plus from our FM transmitters if they are serviced, cleaned and maintained in an environment of 30 degrees or less. We have clients that are still using our FM transmitters that were installed in the 1990s.

You can power our FM transmitters in the UK on square pin plugs, Europe on round pin plugs, USA on flat pin plugs or even Australia and NZ on slanted pin plugs. All our FM transmitters between 50 and 1000 watts can be be specially ordered to work on 48v DC for solar powered systems.
