What Distance Will 2.5kW Do?
Up to 85km is possible with this power level if the transmitter building is on high ground, a least two stories and the antenna mounted on a pole of at least 12ft / 3.5mt. We can give more accurate predictions on range using satellite elevation data like this RF COVERAGE PLOT at our Facebook page.

Driven by the world renowned Veronica® PLL board to give super low noise and RF stable performance. Includes RDS
RDS is now included on all stereo transmitters with audio processing. RDS shows your station name and more scrolling across the car radio display.
This RDS is not just ordinary RDS, it is fully programmable dynamic RDS. This means the transmitter can be connected to a PC by a USB cable. The transmitters RDS circuit can be programmed to pick the Artist and Song name from any folder on the PC disk drive. This folder is easy to set up in the DJ playout software, like Zara Studio etc.

Vertical Antenna 4.8dBi
This versatile vertical 5/8 WAVE ANTENNA can be used on every signal transmitter we sell from 100mW up to 1kW. It is ideal in this 2.5kW EIRP package for the small station with a two story building and a pole on the roof that needs to radiate BIG!! power. Installation on top of a pole is simple, effective and yields very high performance. It is a single element type antenna, just one vertical tube with a matching section and ground planes at the bottom. 5/8 WAVE is the maximum length that can be used to obtain maximum gain to the horizon.
20 Metre (66 Feet) Antenna Cable
This package uses 66ft / 20mt of LMR400 antenna cable. The loss on this cable and plus the antenna gain actually results in an EIRP of over 2500 watts.
2.5kW Maximum Range Chart
This graph is based on average customer reports in some directions. Basically this shows the typical ranges really ever recorded. Most of the reports were radio station listeners that phoned, texted, WhatsApp etc. into the radio station programs operated by our customers. FM Stereo Audio and Processing
The FM signal starts in the internal Veronica PLL which produces the super low noise and highly stable FM signal. You can find more info on this at in our 1W Exciter (PLL driver). Then the internal stereo coder and audio processor boards provide a loud and crisp audio signal on the listeners radio. If your more of an expert, you can if you want use an external processor such as Orban, Inovonics or PC generated MPX/RDS, the limiter and stereo coder we supply can be completely disabled.

• ETS 300384 European Telecommunications Harmonised Standard when used with an audio compressor limiter supplied and tested by Aareff
• EN 301489-11 V1.3.1 (2006-05) EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility when used with 1 meter AC mains cord supplied. If the installation engineer needs to extend this cord, this and the audio input cable should be no more than 3 meters in length to remain in compliance with EMC directive.
• 2006/95/EC Directive (2006-12) LVD Low Voltage Directive.
